VP certificates several institutions for their unwavering support to people with disabilities
Monrovia, Liberia - The Office of Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor in collaboration with the Group of 77 has certificated 35 institutions for their unwavering support rendered people with disabilities over the years.
According to a release from the Office of the Vice President, Vice President Howard-Taylor recounted the role of her office for people with disabilities but encouraged others to continue their assistance in such direction.
She praised these institutions particularly the Liberia Medical Mission for accepting to partner with her office and the Group of 77 for assistance people living with disabilities in the country.
The institutions that were honored and certificated include the Fouta Corporation, the Liberia National Red Cross, International Bank, Ecobank-Liberia, the Indian Community and the Harbel Supper Market among others.
The program which was held Tuesday March 6, 2018, at the Monrovia City Hall, was graced by several advocacy disabled groupings in Liberia.
In briefly remarks, the Disabled organizations hailed the Vice President for remaining open and very helpful to the disabled community since her inauguration.
They also appreciated donor partners for the support but encouraged them to increase their assistance to the disabled community.
Also speaking a Representative of the Liberia Medical Mission reaffirmed the group’s willingness to assist people living with disabilities in the country.
The mission in furtherance to its commitment presented two laptops to the Group of 77 for use by the new management team.
