Pres. Weah Lifts NBC’s DG Suspension, With Warning to Officials Exercising Presidential Functions

Monrovia, Liberia –The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, has lifted the suspension of Mr. Edwin N. Dennis, Director-General of the National Bureau of Concessions (NBC).
 

Mr. Dennis was suspended on April 18, 2022, for terminating the services of his deputy, Mr. Nathaniel Bracewell, an action termed as arbitrary and without due regard to the Office of the President.

 

On Friday, June 17, 2022, President Weah reinstated Mr. Dennis with a warning to all public officials to refrain from exercising any powers, functions, and duties assigned to the President of Liberia and to act within the confines of their authorities.
 

The Liberian Chief Executive warned that officials usurping presidential functions should desist or risk being dismissed.
