(Monrovia, Liberia): The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah has made local appointments in government affecting the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Buah and Trehn Administrative Districts in Grand Kru County.

Those appointed on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, include Mr. J. Sarwoloday Doe, District Superintendent of Buah Statutory District (replacing Mr. Sylvester Tugbe) and Mrs. Beatrice S. Mooney-Senyon, City Mayor of Atlantic City, Garraway in Trehn District.

The Liberian Leader made the appointment following consultations and recommendation from Grand Kru County’s Legislative Caucus and Leadership.

Grand Kru County’s Legislative Caucus noted in a letter dated September 15, 2020 to Dr. Weah that the recommendation was aimed at enhancing and meeting the Government’s Pro Poor Agenda for Development and Prosperity aspirations in the County.

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.
