VP Howard-Taylor and partners donate to School of the Deaf; partners assure of more opportunity for people living with disabilities

Monrovia, Liberia - The Office of the Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor in partnership with Malachi Foundation ( Lifespan Liberia Services) has officially turned over a cash of $US1,000.00USD( One thousand) United States dollars) to the School of the Deaf in  Brewerville, Outside Monrovia.

Making the presentation Monday July 2, 2018, the Executive Director of the Group of 77 Madam Florence Wayfa-Ciaph who represented   the VP, explained that the amount is intended for the purchase of food clothing and medicine for students of the Deaf School.

Lifespan Liberia Services which is also strong partnering with the Group of 77 through the office of the Vice President, also made a donation of a laptop, a flat screen monitor, portable WIFI service and a generator to the School of the Deaf.

Making remarks on behalf of the VP, Madam Wayfa-Ciapha said the initiative by the Lifespan Liberia Services was very laudable, noting that the Vice President is very passionate about the plight of people living with disabilities.

 

According to a release from the office of the Vice President Madam Wayfa-Ciapha  quoted the Vice President as endorsing the activities of the Lifespan Liberia Services towards the physically challenged, particularly the latest intervention at the School of the Deaf in Brewerville.

Speaking earlier, an official of the Malachi York Foundation & Lifespan Liberia Services explained that their major objective in Liberia   is create opportunities for Liberians to connect with American science language professionals and learning the latest development in the American science language. 

Also Speaking the Director of the School of the Deaf Rev. Torgbor Dixon thanked the office of the Vice President and the Malachi Foundation for the gesture and assured that the donation will be used for the intended purpose.

During the program, students of the school were provided the opportunity to communicate with some of their international sponsors and science language professors via LIVE Broadcast.
