President Weah Sympathizes with Fallen Cleric’s Family

(Monrovia, Liberia):The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, has urged family and congregation of the late City Hope International fallen Pastor, Ezekiel Leroy Bangura, to take solace in the Lord during their trying and difficult period of bereavement.

President Weah described the late clergyman as a charismatic and impactful Christian leader who dedicated his life to winning souls for God and instilling discipline and spiritual growth into his congregation and Liberians at large for a better country.

The Liberian Leader offered his support and condolences to the bereaved family, including Pastor Bangura’s widow, Mrs. Wihelmina Bangura, when he visited them on Monday, September 7, 2020 at their 72nd SKD Boulevard Residence.

The passing of Pastor Bangura shocked the Christian community, given the clergyman’s extensive influence and the roles he played in the lives of countless members of his large congregation and Liberians.

“Pastor Bangura was a charismatic preacher of the Gospel,” Dr. Weah reflected. “His sudden demise leaves an enormous void in Christendom and the society.”

Dr. Weah urged the family to trust in God.

It can be recalled that following the death of Pastor Bangura last month, President Weah promptly conveyed heartfelt sympathy on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Liberia and in his own name to the bereaved, mainly his wife and children.

The Liberian Leader also sympathizes with the City Hope International Church, the Liberian Council of Churches and the entire religious community for the loss of one of their dynamic members.
