President Weah Appoints New Nimba County Superintendent, LERC Boss

(Monrovia, Liberia): The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, has made additional appointments in Government affecting local governance at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission (LERC).

 

On Tuesday, 21 January, 2020, President Weah nominated Nelson N. Korquoi as Superintendent of Nimba County. He replaces Dorr Cooper.

 

The Liberian Leader also named Atty. Togar Nimely as Chairman of the Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission. Atty. Togar Nimely replaces Aloysius J. Tarlue, now Central Bank of Liberia Governor. President Weah also nominated Mr. Michael P. Korkpor, Esq. Commissioner of LERC.

 

The nominations are subject to confirmation by the Honorable Liberian Senate where applicable.
