Dr. Weah Lauds President Biden Over DED Extension, Describing it Brotherly, Relieving

(Monrovia, Liberia):The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, has lauded President Joe R. Biden and the people of the United States for extending Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) for Liberians.

 

The Liberian Leader described Pres. Biden’s action as evenhanded and goodwill in upholding the virtues the great United States stands for. Pres. Weah who on Thursday, January 21, 2021 commended Pres. Biden asked the New US Ambassador accredited to Liberia on Friday, January 22, 2021, to extend his thanks and appreciation to President Joe R. Biden.

 

President Weah called on Liberians benefiting from President Biden’s inestimable gesture to take advantage by regularizing their statuses and improving lives for the betterment of themselves and Liberia.

 

“Words are inadequate to say how profound we are to President Biden and the people of America for such a relieving and brotherly gesture,” Dr. Weah noted.

 

Under the Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) extension, President Biden has instructed the appropriate officials of his government to make provision, by means of the Notice published in the Federal Registrar, for immediate allowance of employment authorization documents valid through June 30, 2022.
