President Weah Wants Liberians In Morocco Serve as Good Ambassadors

Tangier, Morocco – Dr. George Manneh Weah has called on the Liberian community in the Kingdom of Morocco to be humble, responsible and law-abiding as they sojourn abroad so that they are regarded “good ambassadors of Liberia through their deportments”.

Dr. Weah said the future is bright for the diasporic Liberians and that whatever goal set is attainable once they are in compliance with the rule of law and peaceful.

He made the assertions when he interacted with the Liberian community, comprising students, residents and partisans on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Movenpick Hotel in Tangier.

President Weah admonished the Liberian citizens in Morocco to remember that they represent the name and image of Liberia and that whatever they do would reflect on their country.

During the interactive forum, the students and residents named a number of challenges including difficulty in renewing their passports and delays in getting the per diems.

President Weah promised the students and the community at large that he would work with the relevant institutions of government to remedy the challenges, including timely passport renewal and per diem payment to students.
