Dubai, UAE - The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, will on Saturday, December 2, 2023 address the 28th edition of the Conference of Parties dubbed COP28, a United Nations Framework on Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC).

President Weah's address expected to focus on climate financing will urge the international community, mainly the world's leading climate champions and philanthropists, to pay key attention to countries that bear the brunt of climate change by fulfilling their commitments made at COP26 and COP27.

The Liberian Leader's statement will also push for sustained global engagements on climate-related issues to be able to find common ground on highly explosive situations excreted by climate change.

COP28 got underway Friday, November 30, 2023, in Expo City, Dubai, and will end on December 12, 2023.
